Politics is the knack of the feasible, the knack of the arrangement. Project management training is, at first, the group of tools by which political process transform into decrees and functions that control our society and government.

On paper, all policy-maker primarily acts for his constituents, at whatever level of authority he operates at, while comparing the weight of his district with the general desires of the country.

In fact, a handful politicians, who can match this near Platonic model are successful of triumphing an election. Merely observe the violent electoral route for House and Senate seats in the United States, or the imminent feeding frenzy for the 2008 Presidential elections, and you'll see the challenge.

In order to succeed the ballots, each contender has to say things to draw groups of swing voters, who are over and over again keyed pro or in opposition to certain problems.

As, in the 2004 elections, with two military campaigns on, the question of gay marriage was measured a litmus test issue in the United States - not for the reason that gay marriage was, eventually, more of great magnitude to the governance of the state than conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, but for the reason that campaign executives mobilized factions of supporters to come out on that subject.
