Good question and is asked by most so you aren't alone, that is where I was years ago but have since found out what works and what doesn't...however only after spending $1,000's and sitting in front of the computer for 10-14 hours everyday, including Sundays, and pulling my hair out and losing my health...ensure to get up and walk each and every hour at least or you could end up with a DVT and PE (Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism, I had both).

It can be prevented with a little effort

I would like to explain my early journey. I found a desktop publishing adult ed class. It was cheap and that is the only course in computers being offered at that time. This shows you how long ago I began my home business, doesn't it?

After learning how to turn on the mac, yes I learned on a mac at the school, then eventually had to re-learn a pc, I started attempting to design a simple page and what content to put on it.

As with most back then Internet Marketing was the primary focus for a niche market to attack. Don't do it! You will be swallowed up and spit out by 1,000's of whales... as in huge beasts that are called 'guru's or marketing experts. You will find a heap of competition in Internet Marketing and your life will be one of great frustration trying to best these guru's. They have the money, savvy and extra help to make superior products and know how to promote them. Plus they collude with each other in a joint venture, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but many times it is. Aren't you tired of seeing the same email ad from 30 different marketers?

Here is my suggestion, research an easy software program to design a website. There are free one's out there but they aren't that easy to use. SiteBuildIt! is the best for anyone just starting out. I used it when it was first offered and found it to be an incredible tool that not only built a great looking page but designed it for the Search Engines, and now very easily adds video (which is very hot). Not a beginner in IM? No problem, SiteBuildIt! will be perfect for anyone except maybe a pro.

Finally, ensure you select a niche market that has some monthly searches and has less than 100,000 results. You can do this manually or use other tools that might cost a bit. I have a list of these tools on the page below.

Whatever you do, ensure you stay focused and don't get distracted or some other b.s.

You do need to spend some bucks, it a home business! and most importantly get to work.
