First Steps In Online Wealth First Steps to A Home Business Creating A Money Making Home Business

by Dan Farrell

Before you even manufacture a webpage you need to ascertain what your web market will be. This requires you need to perform some keyword research. Even if you think you know all about the niche, the mistake many of home based business owners make is to assume their Internet market or niche is over-flowing with avid prospects with tons of dough.

If your market is popular in keyword searches but no one is spending cash then your efforts will be wasted.

Once you know you online niche that will permit your future web site to earn profits, you can start finding products and services that sell to that niche market.

Simply do a search on any search engine or go to an affiliate network, e.g., clickbank.com, cj.com, modernclick.com, azoogle.com. These networks pay based on either per lead, per action or per sale.

Conduct a profitability research. Don't throw just any product or service on your web site. This is a big mistake made by too many net marketers.

Determine the profitability of each affiliate product first. Do that by finding the search engine results and follow the ads on the right side (adwords) for several days or weeks. This procedure is monotonous but is critical to your success.

Make a outline of your web site. The critical point here is make sure you add plenty of quality content that the search engines will devour.

Lay out your skeleton structure of your web site. This will be the navigation and content layout.

One of the best tools for creating a new web site is XSitePro. I've used Frontpage for years and this tool is way ahead in the learning curve department. The tutorials, video and text, are second to none. There are so many fantastic features and benefits that I could fill up many pages but check it out for yourself. http://www.at-home-business-opportunity.com/xsitepro.html

Check out your competition. Investigate how they are pre-selling the same products or services. This is also known as back engineering the competition. Add traffic to your site:

1. Social networking 2. Blogs 3. Pay per click advertising 4. Forum signatures 5. List building 6. Article submission etc. etc.

Continue adding quality content and your web site likely increase in page ranking and the search engines will devour your web site.
